Mr Ben Collins had the great honor of serving as the National Convention Committee (NCC) Organizing Secretary for Berlin 2018. Berlin, the capital city of Germany, was chosen as the venue for the NFU-Europe convention. All daughters and sons of Nso in Europe were invited to take advantage of this year’s convention and explore this historic city. The NCC organizing team, together with Bongnyaang Berlin, the hosting local chapter, worked hard to ensure that everyone had a great time in Berlin. Information about the convention was made available on a dedicated webpage that was regularly updated.
IBIS Berlin Airport Tegel was selected as the Convention Hotel for Berlin 2018. The hotel hosted the NFU-Europe ProForum in one of its conference rooms on Friday, August 10, 2018, starting from 10:00 am. The hotel was located at Alt-Reinickendorf 4-5,13407 BERLIN, GERMANY. It took approximately 15 minutes by car and 30 minutes using public transport to get to the Convention Hotel from Berlin Tegel Airport. It took approximately 36 minutes by car and one hour using public transport from Berlin Schönefeld Airport. Directions were provided on the website.
It was important to pay the Convention Registration fee on time, and details on how to pay were made available on the website. Altin SARAY FestSaal was chosen as the venue for the main activities on Saturday, August 11. The Saturday program started at 10:00 am, and the gala night was also hosted at this venue in the evening. The Convention Hall was located at Drontheimer Str. 32, 13359 Berlin-Wedding. It took 7 minutes by car to get from the Convention Hotel to the Convention Hall. It took 15 minutes using public transport, involving a 6-minute walk to the tram stop from the hotel, a 4-minute ride on the tram for two stops, and a 5-minute walk to the Convention Hall from the tram stop.
